Founded in 2006, the Garden Festival in Tisno, Croatia has become one of the most popular dance music festivals in the country.
The festival was created by Eddie & Gail O’Callaghan and Nick & Charlotte Colgan in Petrcane, a 900-year-old fishing village outside the town of Zadar.
After 6 years at Petrčane, the Garden Festival was moved to Tisno in 2012.
Situated among gentle hills, with a pure sandy beach and the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea on one side and the town of Tisno on the other side, The Garden Festival finally found its true home.
Sadly, after 10 editions of the festival, the last Garden Festival was held in 2015. But that did not mean that The Garden Festival died there. The Garden, now called The Garden Resort, plays host to several music festivals throughout the summer, making it an integral part of the burgeoning electronic music scene in the country.

Love International Festival
This festival is set for July 3 to July 10 at The Garden in Tisno. This is one of the most popular festivals held in Croatia and features some of the biggest names in electronic music. It also gives newcomers a platform to showcase their music to thousands of electronic music fans.
The Lineups – The Garden Festival 2019
This year at the Love International Festival, the artist lineup includes A Love From Outer Space, Axel Boman, Andrew Weatherall, Ben UFO, Beautiful Swimmers, Call Super, Ciel, CC:DISCO!, Craig Richards B2B with Nicolas Lutz, Dan Shake, Crazy P Soundsystem, DJ Harvey, Felix Dickinson, and many others.

How to get a tickets?
Here are the following ticket options for the Love International Festival:
- You can buy the full Festival 8-Day pass for €150, plus the €11.25 booking fee.
- You can get the Barbarella’s Unlimited Pass for €70, plus the €5.25 booking fee.
- You can get the Group Ticket 8-Day Pass for €750, plus the €50 booking fee. With this ticket, you get 6 tickets for the price of 5!
If you prefer to attend only one day, then a 1-Day ticket to the Festival is for €50, plus a booking fee of €3.75.
Barbarella’s will host events every night of the festival and you can book your tickets in advance. Each event costs £17.50 and there is a booking fee of £1.30.
Hospitality on the Beach
This festival at The Garden will take place from July 11 to July 15. Hospitality on the Beach has been organized by Hospital Records, the drum and bass authority of London.
A 5-day getaway, this festival will feature some of the most interesting drum and base music you have ever heard.
The Lineup
The Sun & Bass lineup includes artists like Fabio, DJ Marky, LSB+DRS, Nu:Logic, Makoto, BCee, SeBa and Delicat.
The Korsakov lineup includes musicians like Mefjus, Whiney B2B with Kyrist, Kasra B2B with Enei B2B with Halogenix, Bou, Unglued, Indika and Medika.
The Hospitality lineup includes Andy C, High Contrast, Noisia, DJ Hype, Danny Byrd, Kings of the Rollers, Metrik, and many more.
The Dubplate Style lineup includes DJ Die, S.P.Y., DJ Storm, Dean Man’s Chest, Nu:Tone, Mantra and Uncle Dugs
The Gimme Five lineup has artists such as DJ Zinc, Randall, London Elektricity, and Hybrid Minds. All of them will play a 5-hour set each!
EXIT Records has produced a lineup of Skeptical, dBridge, Doc Scott, Fracture, Fixate and Jubei.
How to get tickets & price ?
The General Admission ticket allows admission to all the events in the Festival from July 11 to July 15 and costs €183.99.
There is also the Hospitality on the Beach + Apartment Package which starts from €569.52 per person.
The Glamping Tent at The Garden resort was for €101 per night however, tickets are all sold out for this package.
You can also choose to stay at apartments. The Bernie A3 Apartment starts at €179.55 per night, while the Log A1 Apartment starts from €228.90 per night.
Both apartments are close to the venue.
Suncébeat 10th Edition
This is the festivals 10th anniversary edition and it will run from July 24 to July 30. You will be treated to a variety of genres such as underground house, Techno, Disco, R&P, Soul and Funk.
The Lineup
You will get to see Kerri Chandler, Mr. G (DJ Set), David Morales, The Black Madonna, Tony Humphries, Kenny Dope, Joey Negro, Soul Clap, Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Antal Osunlade, Sam Divine, Sandy Rivera – just to name a few – perform at this festival.
There will also be live performances by the Jasper Street Company, Children of Zeus and Henrik Schwarz.
You will also have a host of supporting artists such as Terry Hunter, Sadar Bahar, Marcellus Pittman, Jamie 3:26 and many, many more.
Tickets
The week-long tickets for this festival include full access to The Garden Resort as well as all of Barbarella’s after parties.
You have the following options for tickets:
Full Event 7-Day Ticket: £185. You also have the option of buying this ticket through the payment plan. You have to make an initial installment of £25, followed by 3 monthly payments of £57.86 each.
Week-Long Tickets: Only the Standard Weekly Tickets (Tier 3), priced at £185, are left for sale.
4-day Long Weekend Tickets: The Tier 1 ticket is priced at £165.
Day Tickets: The day tickets range from £20 to £55, depending on the day that you wish to visit the festival.

Defected Croatia 2019
Running from August 8 to August 13, this is one of the biggest festivals of the year. A mix of house and disco music is presented here, and this year is extra special, since it will be Defected’s 20th anniversary. Considered one of Croatia’s hidden gems, this is a more exclusive festival, with only 2000 tickets sold.
Lineup
With exclusivity comes a seriously strong lineup of some of the best musicians in their genres. You will get to hear Armand van Helden, Honey Dijon, Claptone, Eats Everything, MK and Roger Sanchez at this festival.
Other headliners include Derrick Carter, Dennis Ferrer, Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco, Masters at Work, Joey Negro, and many more.
Tickets
The full festival day & night tickets are already sold out for Defected 2019.
You can try for the Camping option at the Resort, which is a DIY camping pitch. This will cost you €19.35 per night.
You have the option of staying at the Carmela Apartment, which is close to the venue, and it costs €106 per night.
Dekmantel Selectors
This is the final festival of the summer at The Garden Resort this year.
Dekmantel Selectors will run from August 22 to August 26, and will have room for just about 2,000 visitors to the festival. The world’s finest DJs will showcase their talents to this small crowd.
During the day, the DJs will perform at the beach, alongside the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. And at night, the party will move to Barbarella’s!
The Lineup
For the day program, you will get to see the likes of Albion, Andy Votel, Alicia Carrera, Beesmunt Soundsystem, Bufiman, Ben UFO, Caroline Lethô, Chee Shimizu, and many more perform.
And at night, you will see live performances by Donato Dizzy, Lena Willikens, Francois K, Mark Knekelhuis, Vladimir Ivkovic, Palms Trax and Zozo.
Tickets
The tickets to the Dekmantel Selectors festival are fast selling out, so you need to book your tickets as soon as possible!
- Daytime Week Ticket: You will have access to all the daytime programs for €147.
- Single Party Boat Tickets: These are small boat parties, where the tickets are selling for 17.50 each. However, you need to book fast, since a lot of the parties are already sold out.
- Nighttime Single Ticket: This ticket will grant you access to one night at Barbarella’s and it costs €17.50.
The Regular Ticket which covers full access to both day and night time parties are all sold out.
Travel and Accommodation
Travel
The closest airport to Tisno is the Zadar Airport, which is 75 km away from the coastal town. You can also travel to Split Airport, which is 87 km from Tisno. From the two airports, the best way to get to the festivals at Tisno is by using the Private Transfer Service.
Each festival has a tie up with various shuttle services, so it is best that you speak with the organizers to find out which service is available for your dates.
Accommodation
The Garden Resort offers 80 apartments that can house up to 300 people. However, these need to be booked far in advance as they are usually sold out well before the festival dates.
Glamping Tents are also available, which provide living accommodations for up to 4 people. However, these too have to be booked early since they are a huge favorite during the festivals.
The Garden Resort also offers visitors the option of a camp DIY. You bring your own tent and you can pitch it on the resort’s ground for a small fee.
Tisno is just a short walk away from The Garden Resort, and it is usually the best place to find accommodation during the festivals.
